What is FMC's Motivation in Offering ATIC?

1.  A Desire to Deepen our Faith -

Luke 12:33     Sell your possessions and give to the poor.  Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven
that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.  For where your treasure is, there your
                           heart will be also.

James 2:16, 17 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes or daily food.  If one of you says to him, "Go I wish you well; keep
warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if it
is not accompanied by action is dead.

2.  A Desire to Love God Well-

Proverbs 14:31  He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God

3.  A Desire to Do What God Does-

Isaiah 41:17   The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst.  But I, the LORD, will
answer them; I, the God of Israel will not forsake them.

Luke 4:18       Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor."

James 2:5-6a  Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to
inherit the kingdom he promised those that love him?  But you have insulted the poor.

4..  A Desire to be Blessed by God-

Proverbs 19:17  He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD and he will repay him for what he has done.

Proverbs 22:9    A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.

Proverbs 28:27   He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.

Acts 10:31         "'Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor.'"

Hebrews 6:10     God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and
                               continue to help them.

5.  A Desire to Recognize We Have a Lot in Common-

Proverbs 22:2  Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.
